"Santa Fe is a magical place! I just spent time there at Making Art Safely, taking 3 workshops in printmaking. In the third workshop, Catherine Kernan challenged us to push beyond our boundaries and you will see the results in the prints I show. The colors of Echo Canyon, imagery from a special collection of junk a man had, and the textures of bark and cacti all influence what happens in these prints. Sometimes you will recognize an image, at other times, you will just see the gesture or a shape that is the clue to what is being said."
Welcome to the Artist In Residence Co-op Blog Spot. We are a collective art gallery in Enosburg, Vermont that exhibits the work of over 40 local Vermont artists. Each month, a group of our members are selected as featured artists to showcase in the gallery foyer. This blog is an additional space to feature and discuss these artists and their work.

"The latest news I have is that I am enrolled in a Digital Design Diploma course from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online division. I am hoping it will open up some possibilities for extra income, but also know that it may take my art in new directions. I am teaching printmaking classes at Access for CVU in Hinesburg and at Studio Place Arts (SPA) in Barre. I will be teaching Solar Plate Etching this summer. I expect to incorporate more solar etching into my work in the near future."

"My artwork is a distillation of nature....it's colors, textures, and even my own interpretation of the real thing! In this show, I am featuring some of my nature prints. These are one of a kind images using the actual plants to print from. By working with several plates (flat pieces of Plexiglass) I can create layers of various images of them overlaying the plants that have picked up the ink and using the negative space the plants have created to utilize the next color I print. Enjoy!"
